Bluetooth 3.0
2009 von der Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) abgesegnete Highspeed-Version des drahtlosen Übertragungsstandards.
Durch Verwendung von Wireless LAN- (WLAN-)Techniken bietet Bluetooth 3.0 eine Datenübertragungsrate von bis zu 24 Megabit pro Sekunde (Mbps) anstatt bisher bis zu 2,1 Mbps. Dabei nutzt die aktuelle Bluetooth-Spezifikation das WLAN-Protokoll 802.11, um die hohe Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit zu erreichen.
